I sowed my seed and nothing germinated or only a few seedlings emerged?

There are many possibilities for poor germination, firstly it is important to ensure that you have followed the growing information specific to the variety you have sown. On the Kings Seeds website if you go to the Product Page for the variety you will see under Product Information and Growing Advice there is information to give guidance on how to obtain the best results for the seed you have purchased. Poor germination may be because the seed has been sown too deeply, the ground temperature is too cold, the seed raising mix is of poor quality, the seed raising mix (or soil) is too dry or has been allowed to dry out between watering, the seed raising mix (or soil) is waterlogged causing the seed to rot, you have pests such as slugs, snails and birds that have damaged the seed, you have an infection such as a damping off fungus that has damaged the seed, or the seed has special growing requirements such as stratification to break seed dormancy. Check the catalogue or website for further information.  If you are still having issues please let us know at info@kingsseeds.co.nz so we can investigate.
